A vacant Lansingburgh building could become a home for women recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.
The State Senate voted to allow the state Office of General Services, which owns the property, to transfer it to the Altamont Program.
The property at 867 Second Ave. includes a vacant building that once served as a state Division for Youth facility. The deteriorated building will be renovated to serve as supportive housing for women trying to conquer drug and alcohol addiction.
