ALBANY - Mayor Jerry Jennings' offer to provide three state-owned metal detectors to Albany High School - where last month's stabbing was the latest episode in a streak of violence - is reaching receptive ears. "The landscape has changed," said Superintendent Eva Joseph on Monday, referring to continuing violence since last year's decision by the school board to randomly search students for weapons rather than employ walk-through metal detectors like those used in airports.
